Its “Just” a swing…
It’s just a swing, a simple red plank of wood hung from a branch by two pieces of rope. I’ve always been a person of big ideas. If I went to a psychologist they’d probably say I suffered from delusions of grandeur(I’d argue its not a delusion if you accomplish it) the point being I always had big ideas that would bring about huge changes to the world. Yet, ever since a friend of mine showed me this red swing I’ve been thinking maybe real change does not stem from one big idea but countless small ideas.
You’re probably thinking whats the big deal its just a swing. Thats my point, let me explain. It was late, I was tired and a friend of mine asked “Do you want to go swing?” I didn’t know of any swings near by and curiously tagged along. Someone put up a swing from the redswingproject in the park near my dorm. We swung on that swing until slightly intoxicated park goers scared one of my friends. The point being, that piece of wood and rope now brings happiness to a ton of people. Not to mention it inspired me to start my own project.
So if you think you have to have huge ideas to change the world for the better just remember a swing is just a piece of wood and rope.

If Race doesnt exist can you still be racist?
I was going to publish a detailed essay on how race and corresponding racism were idiotic creations not founded on reason or logical thought(I actually have 5 pages already on paper) but then I realized any person who will be convinced through logical arguments should already know that Race is unfounded and me writing an essay explaining why would be either redundant or pointless. I do not agree with dutch boy tactics, If the dam is crumbling one person can only plug ten holes. So instead of wasting time trying to fix racism to make all races equal, why dont we abolish race itself as an institution?
The Underlying Pattern of Humanity
Humans are not naturally irrational creature, If you look at the humans with the smallest amount of experiential knowledge, babies, you will see that across the entire human baby population the differences in actions are miniscule. As Humans gain more experience and are required to do more than sleep and eat, they become slightly less predictable. But this loss of predictability is entirely superficial. Humans only appear to become less predictable because we are faced with an increase in unknown variables related to the “unpredictable” subject. If one meets a stranger and asks them their favorite color, there is no way to know what they will answer because all variables are unknown. Now if this person was your best friend and you know they painted their room blue and always wear blue, you would know without asking that their favorite color is Blue. As we have known with standard algebra for millennia , as you know more variables the solution set becomes narrower or more predictable. Humans and more generally humanity naturally are no exception to this rule.
What I have shown very lightly so far is that with enough known variables humanity is predictable. That being said there is more. Since humans are predictable what is the equation that expresses this predictability?, How does one explain when humans do actions entirely unpredictable or not in line with the afore mentioned equation?

The list will go on and on , the point is there are too many interlocking patterns in the universe for humanity not to have one.
Decision Making
In every day life people are faced with a wide variety of decisions, from paper or plastic, to good or evil, While paper or plastic doesnt reall matter the choice of good or evil is important to alot of people. Good people striveing to stay good often face problems in todays society, whic often misidentifies evil thing as good and vice versa.. So how does one know which choice is the right virtuous decision when faced with a choice? The answer is simple Love. Love is the foundation of all the virtues, sure one can have faith which helps one seek to do gods will and hope which establishes trust in Gods will. But these two virtues are kinda useless when it comes to figuring out what is truly good or evil. This is because in order to dediced what is good one must first no what makes something good and what makes something good is that it furthers the will of God. So inorder to have enough faith(to do gods will) and hope(to trust gods will) to make the right choice in good one needs to know gods will. And this presents a new problem for us humans, For we are unable to know God as we would know a human friend to the point that one is able to ask God what it is they want and he will give you a definitive answer that directly tells you a set of actions youu needs to do. Yet with God it is entirely different, for if one asked god what his will is , he is not going to tell us physically like our friends do. You probally wont get any reply at all, if you just yelled to the heavens “what do you want god?” Because of this nature of humanities relationship with god , this could be ere really is no God. But this is completely wrong for the reason god doesnt tell you straight out is because he has already made his will known. You may ask he never told me. Ah but he did for you know that the nature of a persons will is relative to the nature of that person. And the same thing could be said about god and the Nature of God is absolute Love so gods will must be to Love. If one wanted to make right, good decisions they must do the act that furthers gods will and gods will is love. So all good choices must be made with an underlying desire of love. But not a material Love of money or some other vice. Which really is not love but passion. God is Love, so a good choice must show concern for Love. How one shows concern for Love is by showing concern for Gods creation, mankind, whom are made in the image of god or in the image of Love. So making a virtuous choice is very simple, Which ever choice shows concern for others and oneself.
You say selfless, I say lacking self
I found this in my documents, its the rough draft for a paper I wrote in the 11th grade for my morality class. I got an A+ because it ended up being 3 pages when all he wanted was half a page. If you leave a comment please explain yourself,
In america and everywhere else in the world, every single person is unvirtuous. this is not too say that people are not good but america has no virtue. This is because of a misunderstanding of over “what is virtue?” the popular understanding is that to be virtuous is the same as being charitbale, self sacrificing and to humbly serve others.. While a person that does all these things could apear to be virtuous but they are not because they forget the most important part of the virtues, concern for oneself. This may sound like a selfish ideal but it is true anyone can sacrifice themselves for others and some can even sacrifice others for themselves. while the first may sound better than the second, but in reality they are both evil because they are selfless. It is wrong for an act to be selfless because then the action is done for other people and gains meaning second hand from the people that are sacrificed or given the sacrifice. Avirtuous act is given its meaning by God. Then one may ask what is a virtuous act and the answer is simple. If one doesnt use the gifts and abilities given to one at birth, for an in human reason such as for the benefit of others or to gain something to impress others, and instead uses these gifts just because they are given to you by god. That is virtuous because the acts have no hidden agenda, only to further gods will, not for the benefit or detremint of humanity, But just because its gods will
God did not create man to help others or hurt others because in the beginning god only made one man whose duty was to take care of gods creations and keep god company. Then man felt lonely and god gave him womem whose duty was to keep man company and obey god. THen the snake tempted them to disobey god by presenting them with knowledge and what made them accept was not selfishness, but selflessness. It was not love for oneself that made them but desire to become better by devouring something not thiers. A truly selfish person would not hve needed or desire someonelses magic apple that could make them better or to give them meaning because they gain thier meaning from themselves and therefore from god.
Therefore the people of america are not virtuous on the basis that all thier acts are given meaning by the people the act is performed for or on and not from God.
Lifes Certanties
In life there are very few certainties that happen to every human to exist thus far; all come into existence by being conceived, a few things happened and then death happens. These are the only certainties in life, the fact that you are alive and that you will die. It could take 100 years for death to take hold or even seconds in the case of the poor aborted zygote because the two things a fore mentioned are so prevalent in the human race we tend to be drawn towards what is unique in each other,life. At birth all humans are apparently unique, some are intelligent, some are idiots, some are ugly, some are beautiful, some are athletic, some aren’t. Then on top of all the variety of natural gift people are given, there are the situations you are born into that you have no choice in, like family, wealth or lack of, country, time period, etc. So as you see even at start it would appear some are at an advantage and most are at a disadvantage. And this is where I ask you, what is this an advantage or disadvantage for, are you playing a game or running a race, Is the meaning of life to win? If so what are the rules? does the richest or most famous win or maybe the most pious or happiest? Or maybe I win because I can form words into beautiful sentences. sadly its not that simple, it s much simpler. Life has no winners as your only opponent is yourself so I guess if it will make you feel better everyone is a winner or for you nihilists everyone loses.
51% of the worlds fate lies with China
As a nation just now developing as it is, China has the oppurtunity to benefit not only China but also the global environment.
In the years to come China will be faced with huge energy demands. To fill these demands China will import large quantities of non-renewable resources such as oil and coal.This will bring China in direct competition with the United States for these resources. Because the supply is limited and the demand great the price of oil/coal will rise. This increase in price will cause more un needed cash to flow out of China. While China could compete with the United States for the last remainder of fuel resources, there is no reason they should.
Chinas energy department should create a two part plan.
First, the demand for non-renewable resources isnt going to go away over night, so measures must be taken to use what remains efficiently. Outdated and inefficient power plants and refineries should be if not replaced updated. China should not buy into the American vehicle mentality that bigger is better, instead they should follow the Japanese model, efficiency and tech is better.
Secondly, As China consumes more energy there will not only be the threat of not being able to fill energy demands but also the threat of pollution wil increase exponentially not only for China but for Earth as livable planet. To quell both threats China should push a renewable energy plan on a scale not seen anywhere. China has the suitable geography needed for large solar, wind and hydro farms.
I will come out with a detailed plan with accurate numbers and measures later, but at first estimate a majority renewable energy plan can only benefit China as well as the world.
